What will happen at my follow up for Herpes?
I have been diagnosed with Herpes...
They are sending me to a doctor for a follow up.
What will happen there? What are they gonna do? They already told me what I have, why do I need to follow up on it with them? Will they have to completely violate my privacy again? I hate doctors, so please, if you can help me know what to expect, fill me in.

If they gave you some meds they just want to see how they are working for you. When I got the swab test I called in for my results and my doctor gave me a script for some meds before I got the results anyway so I never had to go back. They'll probably just ask how the meds are working for you if they prescribed some and that's it. I never went to my follow up I just took the meds and learned as much as I could about it. I tried Acyclovir but Valtrex worked the absolute best for me. Good Luck.
