'Chronic' Headaches 17 y/o?!

Question: 'Chronic' Headaches 17 y/o?
Hey I'm 17 y/o, when I get an ailment I just instantly think its something bad.

About 4 weeks ago I started getting stabbing headaches and felt tired a lot (sometimes after sleeping) and woke up in the middle of the night occasionally with/without headaches. Then then after 2 weeks they stopped for a week. Then they came back. I contacted a doctor after the first week and had an appointment, but they decreased in severity so took away my appointment.

My current symptoms are;
- Random stabbing headache, mild, only lasts a short while sometimes it wont happen for ages.
- Sometimes wake up in the middle of the night no headaches through
- Tired quite often
- Recently, just couple minutes ago getting a numbness, like someone is pressing above my left ear
- Burning sensation in my head, weird

Parents think I'm a hypochondriac and theirs nothing wrong with me, I hope so, maybe its just anxiety, going in for a check-up about my BP this week, I will bring up the headaches and see, but I'm terribly worried, I just think its a brain tumor or something worse when its probs not.

Went to the doctors, my blood pressure is perfect, I told them about my headaches and the nurse told me I'm growing up turning from a boy into a man, people get headaches all the time, sometimes it can be just eye strain after playing on games or being on computers for a long period of time, she told me to get an eye check to rule things out instead of ruling things in, if the headaches persist make an appointment and the doctor will tell you the same things I've told you now, she said it could be worrying, anxiety, dehydration it could be a many number of things and that when usually get headaches they instantly presume thats its something bad like a brain tumor when its not.

Symptoms at present are;
- Random mild stabbing headache
- When it happens it feels like a tingling on the head where it is (well just at this moment)
- Tired quite often (sometimes)
- Recently, just couple minutes ago getting a numbness, like someone is pressing above my left ear. or the side of my temple
- Burning sensation in my head, like a blister on my head.
- Runny nose sometimes, just randomly starts running

Does anyone have any idea what it could be? I get very worried and stressed out about these things.

Sometimes I spend up to 10 hours playing games or on my laptop, I often watch movies in the dark on my laptop with it close to me, I with my tv across the room from me.

I also have my wisdom teeth coming in (my tops ones) could they be disturbing my sinuses or be infected causing these stabbing headaches? Some advice would be nice.

Answers:

everything you are describing could be effecting or causing the headaches. but to answer your question- yes it is possible at 17 to get chronic migraine or chronic headache. try to stop stressing and wait to be properly examined by your doctor. but mostlikley nothing is wrong
