Please help me understand better. I have 3boys ages 7,6 and 4 they all had their chicken pox vaccine but my youngest (the 4 year old) he started getting little bumps on his back and chest area I took him to the doctor and he said he had the mild case of chicken pox why did he get him? Does the vaccine he had not prevent that and why has it not spread to my other 2 boys isnt chicken pox contagious? and by the way if you answer you should of asked the Doctor I did but he seemed not to get his point and answer my question he was my regular childrens pediatrician substitute What a sub doctor huh?

Answers:

well since your Son had the vaccine it mean 2 things he would not get them at all or he would get a very mild case of them.Well he got the mild case.Yes they are contagious until they crust over.Calamine Lotion is Great and they also have a oatmeal bath for the itching. You can buy these things at your local drug store or Wal-mart. Your other 2 boys still have a chance of getting them.Good Luck.
