I don't rejoice when a sinner dies and when a sinner is down and out.
That is the difference between a saved person and an hateful person.
Yes Ted Haggard did the right thing by stepping down, but come on now, how would you like it if all your dirty laundry was out for the world to see?
Temptation is all around us and the battle is getting more intense, pray for the leaders of your churches that they too won't subcome to such evil.

Haggard bought this on himself.he is responsible for the fallout.and on the day of regret you or anybody else will not be able to say temptation made me do it.
At least I can't enjoy hearing/seeing someone 'fall'. But it is also hard to have a heavy heart if the person has done something very evil. It is hard to love your closest ones like yourself if they are like that, and a lot easier to love God from the bottom of your heart. But we must remember that the time of Revelation must come sometime, so we can't stop our leaders doing something wrong whole the time.
Very true...it's nothing to rejoice about. Pray for the fallen ones and pray for the ones who are standing strong. I am so thankful for my pastor; he is human and makes mistakes but does not try to put on the facade of "perfect preacher man".
Edit: I'm not trying to be rude, but next time you might put this in the 'Religion & Spirituality' section; you would probably get a better response in that section.
