Can consuming too much sugar cause diabetes?!

Question: Can consuming too much sugar cause diabetes?
I'm 14 years old and have realized that I've been consuming a lot of sugar...could this cause diabetes later in life?

Answers:

try and eat natural sugars as much as you can and avoid refined sugars but at 14 i wouldn't worry too much about as long as you're active and healthy overall just be aware of what you're putting in your body but you have to live a little too-so basically don't worry about it.

There is no food that causes diabetes.
It's just a waste of food to stuff yourself with empty calories. They have no nutritional health .

Well it may help contribute to getting diabetes.

no not in this age! if ur dad is suffering from diabetes in the age of 40 then U may get from 20, so be careful in taking sugar!

14 years? Enjoy urself.. Dont worry about diabetes, eat as you like but exercise and make sure you are not obese

yeah but you can change that if you stop eating as much of it :)
