Do I have a Swollen Lymph Node?!

Question: Do I have a Swollen Lymph Node?
Hello,

About 2 weekes ago as I was washing my hair, I felt a bump at the back of my head close to the neck and ear on my right side.

I did go to the doctor, and said that it might be a Cyst or a Swollen Lymph Node. Today I got an Ultra sound done on my neck and on the bump, and also did blood work. As I came back from the doctors, I stupidly looked up "CBC"(Which I got tested for) and its a test that defines how my blood cells are. One option said that I might have Leukaemia because of the swollen Lymph Node by my ear/neck.

It doesn't hurt, its not red, its not itchy, and I do not have a fever. It feels like a water bed, so its not Hard.

I might be over reacting just a little, but Im wondering what are the chances of me having Leukaemia?

Answers:

First, a CBC is a Complete Blood Count that checks the number of red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets in your blood. If your white blood count is elevated, it suggests an infection. Lymph nodes can become swollen if there is an infection in your body. It's just a sign that your immune system is trying to fight it off. I really don't think it is Leukemia, but the doctor seems to be taking it seriously since he performed an ultra sound. I wouldn't worry a lot, but I would ask him about the white blood count next time you see him.
