With diabetes-what causes the itching and how can it be stopped?!
Question:
With diabetes-what causes the itching and how can it be stopped?
I get intense itching is certain areas of my body and can't stop the itching. Applying ice often stops the itching but something is causing this.
Answers:
Sometimes it is an overgrowth of yeast. Monostat or even rubbing alcohol will kill the yeast and help with that type of itching. Sometimes it is nerve damage. Aspirin might help with that or other pain killers. Itching and pain are similar sensations to the brain, so a painkiller will help.
