My boyfriend to scratched by a homeless crack head (Not kidding I know it sounds strange) But thats what happened. The man tried to chock him because he called the cops on him for trying to hit our dogs with a piece of wood. And scratched him on the arm. So my question is can you get hiv from a scratch? And also is there anything else you can get from a scratch? Please no rude comments.

Cat scratch fever du du du dum. I think that's a song. Well anyway I think that's about all you can catch from a scratch besides tetanus and that comes from rust. His blood would have to come into contact with your boyfriend's blood I think.

You should call a real medical clinic though. Just because he's a crackhead doesn't mean he has HIV. In fact, I would be more scared of female prostitutes than a crackhead bum.

How do you know the stranger has Hiv? anyways no you cant, Unless it was a deep scratch and blood came out and you had an open wound on your finger or somewhere where the blood can get inside you.
