Chest pain while working out?!

Question: Chest pain while working out?
Hello everyone, let me start off by saying thank you for taking your time to read this. :)

Alright, I'm 20 years old 5'8 314 pounds and I'm female. I've been overweight all my life, I was a fat baby and I'm now a morbidly obese adult. I've been morbidly obese for two years and prior to that obese. (all through high school) I've been trying to lose weight for four years and I've been doing a 'yoyo' losing weight trend. I've lost 60 pounds and then gained it plus some. Now, I'm on the road to losing weight again. :) (Pray and/or hope for me please!)

Now that you know a little about me I'm going to tell you that I don't intend to take what you say to heart but I just wanted to see what others may think it is or just a guess or maybe they've experienced the same thing and would like to share. I don't have health insurance (surprised?).

Okay, so I was walking on the treadmill (second time) 2.5 incline 2.8 walk speed (just below jogging point or speed walking, for me at least lol) and around 10 minutes into it my chest started to tighten and experience pain. Couldn't go on anymore. For the past year I've been having heart palpitations and chest pain. Sometimes severe shooting pain outta nowhere and then dull pain all over the chest area when exercising. (first time I've experienced this though)
I have a very stressful life. I worry a lot. I'm very sensitive and I do not know how to handle stress at all. While I was working out I was listening to my Mother scream about nothing (she's mentally ill, schizophrenic) which was making me mad and tense and I said that I couldn't stop because it was work out time and she decided to make that even more hell for me lol.
So, I'm thinking could it be the stress? Possible symptoms or warning signs of a heart attack? Family history of heart attacks but at way older ages. I haven't been to the doctor in two years (eek!) I know I should go but I'm deathly afraid of the doctor and once I smell the 'doctor' smell I pass out lol so it's severe enough to like not even think twice about my heart palpitations.

So, based on what you've read, what do you think it could be? Again, I'm not going to take this to heart or take what you say over a doctor so don't worry but I'm just wondering. kill some time before I go to sleep I guess, typing always makes me tired.

Thank you all again and take care.

Answers:

your lungs and heart weren't used to the strain. don't sweat it (no pun intended), just keep working out moderately, not too heavily to start out with. Be sure to eat around 5 small meals a day and lay off of soda and candy and junk food. If you want to snack eat nuts or grains, or fruits. Nutrition is the main thing you need to pay attention to in order to lose weight. Be sure to stertch AFTER you workout, not before. This is to prevent from muscles being pulled.

And if you lose weight, don't "reward" yourself by eating junk food or deserts. This is very bad when you are in the middle of a diet.

Also be sure to drink a lot more water than you usually would. If you drink bottled water, aim for maybe two or three a day. You need to keep your body hydrated so it stays healthier. If you don't focus on nutrition then working out is useless.

Also stay away from advil if you can. It's bad for your health. If you live in a place where it is legal to smoke marijuana, smoke marijuana if you need to in place of advil.

Your body mass index is 47.7 and you are morbidly obese.
* Stop gaining more weight in future.
* Increase your physical activity.
* Reduce salt in your diet.
Along with several other NSAIDs, ibuprofen has been implicated in elevating the risk of myocardial infarction (heart attack), in particular, among those chronically using high doses. Ibuprofen is the main ingredient in Advil/ Motrin.
