Answers:

Cotton socks are the worse thing you can wear for stinky feet. Cotton absorbs moisture and creates a perfect moist environment for bacteria and fungus. You need to switch to socks that wick away moisture. Combinations of polyester, spandex, and even a small amount of wool work best. Many socks are labeled as moisture-wicking. It also helps to wear shoes that are breathable.

The other thing that helps is to kill fungus with a medicated antifungal foot powder. Get the kind that comes in a container with a top that looks like a salt or pepper shaker, and sprinkle a little powder into your socks before putting them on.

You can try the following:
Continue to bathe your feet every day, several times if possible, using simple soap and water. Dry your feet well after bathing.

Check your feet regularly for any sign of athletes foot etc. Treat if needed.

Continue to wear clean socks with your closed shoes and use natural fibers allowing the best chance for your feet to breathe.

Choose shoes made of natural materials such as leather. Remember some leather shoes have man made inners which make them less breathable.

Alternate the shoes you wear each day, allowing each pair to air and dry out between wearing.

Spray your shoes before and after wearing with one of the odor control sprays that you can buy readily from any pharmacy. I would avoid powder as it may just turn into a damp mess that bacteria can thrive in and worsen the problem.

Wear the most open style of shoe you can depending on the weather etc and particularly when the weather is warmer.

Keeping your feet confined in shoes unnecessarily will compound the problem for when you do take the shoes off. Going barefoot will allow your feet to breathe and stay dry as much as possible. If you like to go barefoot then try to do so as much as possible at home etc.

If you are going to friends houses, make sure, if you can, that your feet are clean when you set off. If shoes are optional at the house and you want to take yours off then do so as soon as possible.

Hope this helps.
