Thanks for the answers so far. I have the kind of IBS where I have loose bowels nearly all the time, and horrendous cramps. Strangely, eating lots of fibre seems to help rather than make this worse and often lessens the cramps. I also urinate really frequently, which is an issue as I drive around for a living and am not office based with easy access to a loo, which means eating/drinking next to nothing when I'm out and about. There has to be a better solution?! I refuse to let my condition rule my life like this!!!

This is meant as helpful advice, you can have a special bottle to urinate into if you wish to carry one in the car. Even if you don't use it , it will give you peace of mind to know you could if you were desperate.Not drinking enough can cause the urine to be so concentrated as to irritate the bladder and make it more likely that you will wish to urinate frequently, therefore it is important to drink plenty.I suffer from both so I know what it's like.Good luck.
