Please help my 4 year old boy I am so freakin out! How do I get it out of my house?
Answers:
To treat him, I'd suggest starting with over-the-counter Lamisil-AT, twice daily for 4 weeks to the affected area. If that fails, see his doctor about an oral medication like ketoconazole.
As far as getting it out of your house, not really a worry. Ringworm is caused by fungus, but it is not as contageous as you may think, and it's not like a flea infestation requiring the whole house be treated. Oh, I'd wash his clothes and sheets, and if you have a dog or cat, consider having the animal treated, but other than that, once your son has been treated, he probably won't get it again (at least not soon).
