You do need to see a DR. Muletrain is an idiot and the fact that he is a healthcare intern scares me. First there are several diseases that can be transmitted through saliva, (HIV is not one of them if this is what you are concerned about) but if the bite was incurred during a confrontation, then the blood that may have been present in his mouth can transmit it. Second, the most serious complication from a human bite is usually infection. The human mouth is actually, and factually, dirtier then a dogs. If you see any signs and or syptoms of an infection (including but not limited to: reddness, swelling, streaking, pus like or foul discharge) Then you need to be put on antibiotics. If you do not want to go to DR. then at least use a triple antibiotic cream to help limit the chance of getting an infection.
