During a colonoscopy growths were found why did doctor not take samples for biop!

Question:

During a colonoscopy growths were found why did doctor not take samples for biopsy?

I am having half my colon removed

Answers:

You need to ask whether they were not taken deliberately, or whether they weren't able to take any. It may be that you found the procedure difficult, or it was difficult to navigate your bowel.

Also, if there were multiple growths, it could be that he or she assumed they were something else, such as FAP, and decided to perform an operation for that instead of multiple biopsies, each with the risks attached to it.

Best to ask questions if you're uncertain, but informed consent dictates you should have all the answers.
