How long do Neulasta side effects last?
My Mom is under going chemo treatments for breast cancer right now - she is handling the chemo really well; however, she is having side effects from the Neulasta shot she received after the chemo treatment. We were just wondering how long (on average) these side effects would last.

Neulasta was horrible for me!!! I can sympathize with her so much. I tolerated the chemo way better than the shot. I think I started hurting like the next day and started feeling better in two to three days. Please tell her not to be afraid to ask for pain medicine....it didn't help my pain much but at least it put me to sleep. As for the pain from the shot itself, I found that getting it in the stomach was better than in other areas and I would get them to take it out of the fridge and let me hold it to warm it up while they took my CBC and weight and all that other stuff. Tell her I said good luck and big hugs!
