Is Aspartame sugar substitute considered safe?!

Question:

Is Aspartame sugar substitute considered safe?

I use 15 to 20 grams a day. What would be considered a safe daily allowance?

Answers:

It is a liver-toxic chemical. The Philippines is now the first country to ban it.

If you would like to know more about the scientific studies that show the long term toxic effects of this stuff, read the book "Excitotoxins: The Taste the Kills" by Russell Blaylock, MD

There are also studies cited in this book that show the toxic effects on a biochemical level.
The reason diet sodas have freshness dates is because Aspartame degrades into other toxic chemicals that can cause blindness. The freshness date is basically "law suit insurance."

The FDA's definition of "safe" means that you probably can't consume enough in one sitting to kill you. That makes it safe from their level of responsibility.

Splenda is also a liver-toxic chemical and there were already numerous published studies showing that before it was approved as a sweetener.
