How long do you have to wait after a bypass surgery to climb stairs in your hous!

Question:

How long do you have to wait after a bypass surgery to climb stairs in your house?

I recently had a bypass and I have a double story house but I dont know if its alright to go upstairs yet.

Answers:

If you can walk 50 feet without getting short of breath, then you should be okay for stairs. If you get short of breath, make sure there is a place for you to rest safely between flights. Stairs are a good form of rehab therapy.
When you are able to climb two flights of stairs without significant shortness of breath or fatigue, then you can resume having sex.
(P.S. I was a post open-heart nurse for many years)
