Question:

Does anyone know why your not supposed to store the gel type of hand sanitizer above 110 degrees?

They ALL say that on the lable but don't explain why. My husband stored all my health and cleaning products in our attic which I'm sure gets well over 110 degrees. Since there's alcohol in it I'm sure it must be a fire hazzard, but I'm wondering if it breaks down the product as well. Will the sanitizer still kill 99.9 % of germs now?

Answers:

The alcohol will evaporate faster. It will probably not have the same content of alcohol and therefore be slightly less effective. I would go ahead and buy a new bottle next time you are at the store.
