What disease or illness can cause you to have severe liver pains, swelling, and fatigue?
It's been almost a couple of years now that I've had severe abdominal pains to where now I have located it to be in my liver area and there is much heat and swelling coming from this area. I have seen a doctor and have had blood test done and found out my liver is having a hard time, but that was several months ago and now the pain is back twice as bad as before. Now I cannot lay on my right side without feeling burning and stabbing pains, the right side of my abdomen is swolen and warm to the touch, and I am always feeling tired, having no appetite at all.
I've been put on pain medication a long time ago..about three years since an injury from work. I've started off with Motrin in high dosages and have since moved up to medicines such as percocet and morphine pills.
I feel as though the doctors at the hospital are not helping me, but instead are doing me more harm. I have done my own research and have found out that many of the drugs I take can cause major damage to my organs.
Answers:
Those pain meds you are taking are very hard on the liver. You need to try and get off them. Go to another doctor and get a second opinion.
