Green tea lowers high cholesterol?!

Question:

Green tea lowers high cholesterol?

Answers:

Yes, research has shown that green tea (camelia sinensis) can lower total cholesterol and raise HDL ("good") cholesterol in both animals and people.

If you are sensitive to caffeine however then you can opt for other cholesterol lowering herbs and vegetables such as:
garlic, pomegranate juice, artichoke (globe) extract, gum guggul and, grapefruit juice, to name but a few.
Grapefruit juice may be sow powerful in this sense that it shouldn't be taken at the same time as cholesterol-lowering drugs (ref: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/ar... ).
Also, you have to be careful of drinking grapefruit juice if you are on any meds because of drug-interactions. Ask a pharmacist if you are on meds. Otherwise grapefruit is excellent. Up your increase of all fruit and veg for their cholesterol lowering effects and oxidant-lowering (antioxidant) effects.
