What to do if you keep having side effects to insulin?!

Question:

What to do if you keep having side effects to insulin?

On the 15th my dr. put me on Lantus insulin, it made me swell in my hands and face pretty good. And gave me diarehha uncontrollable. I went back on the 19th and he changed my insulin to Humilin 70/30 I called him back on the 20th because the swelling was still there and I was a little more puffier in the face he lowered the dose and as of today I am still swelling my face has got a worse rash than it did from the Lantus and now my ankles and legs along with my face and hands are swelling. And I still have the diarehha.. I am at my whits end .. what to do what to do...... any advice from anyone ... thanks

Answers:

Keep working with your doctor until you find the right insulin or the right dose. But asking a question of the general public isn't going to help. I know there are professional people on here but your physician knows your history and can deal with your problems a lot better than any of us who doesn't know you except what you have written. Please go back and keep working with him. That is what he is there for. Good Luck!
