Should I be worried about my black stool?!

Question: Should I be worried about my black stool?
On Monday I had the stomach flu. I vomited 3 times, having diarrhea, body aches, chills, a low grade fever, and headache. That night I took a stomach ache pill like pepto, then an one excerdrin that afternoon, then another stomach pill that night, and before going to bed I took a flu pill. I didnt eat much, but drank water and slept all day. The next morning I felt okay, just had a small headache and stomach ache. Never took medicine and never had a bowel movement. On Wednesday or today, my stomach is a slightly sore and bloated in the middle and had foul black stool. Is this normal?

Answers:

Pepto Bismol and any pink bismuth product causes black stool. It is not blood. Read the side of the box it came in and you will see that is a side effect. If you hadn't taken the pepto pill I would say be concerned. But as pepto is notorious for this... I would not be concerned.

I get different color poos all he time I don't care!!!
