Has Anyone Ever heard of this?
My friend who is 11 was born with an extra muscel in his heart, but I don't remember which ventracle it was in.He said it caused his heart to beat 200- 300 beats per min. If he did not take his proper medication. Has anyone ever heard of an extra muscel in the heart, is this classified as a dissease or a defect from birth. He WAS born with this extra muscel. Please give me some info on this. He is 11 yrs. old getting heart surgery soon.

Your friend may have an extra bridge of muscle connecting the atria and ventrickles, so - he has an extra pacemaker.
There are several parts of your heart that control the rate and rhythm. He seems to have an extra site that discharges,
causing the increase in heart rate.
Medication will work up to a point, but sometimes the heart surgeons need to go in and ablate, or cauterize the area.
Ask if they are doing a heart cath [ surgery thru a tubing inserted in a vein ], or open heart surgery. Be supportive as you can, and help his family if possible.
