Question:

Okay, My dad said he would "stop smoking: but he still hasn't. What can I do to help him?

Answers:

Get him to read information on "www.chantix.com", and maybe have him read what I write.

I'm 31 years old and have been smoking for over half my life. I my normal smoking habit was 1 pack or more a day. I live an extremely healthy life style dispite the smoking thing (working out every day and eating right, no drinking....). Anyway, I've been trying to quit smoking FOR YEARS but haven't been able to quit successfully. It is by far the hardest thing I've ever done in my life.

I was prescribed Chantix by my doctor a month ago and I am now a non-smoker and know I can stay that way - finally! I consider it a miracle pill. It doesn't take away ALL cravings, but for me they only last 10-15 seconds now rather than 20 minutes or more when going cold turkey. It's amazing and I truely hope he checks into it if he really does want to quit!

Good luck to you and to him. :)
