I have never seen this, just make sure to use lots of lotion to keep the skin soft. Legs can swell so much that the fluid ends up weeping out of the skin, It can also happen in the arm and hand following a mastectomy for breast cancer when there are multiple lymph nodes removed. (Lymphedema). If your hands are that swollen and tight then you need to see a Dr. He will probably put you on something like prednisone which is commonly used to reduce the inflamation of arthritis.
