What does it mean when a diabetic says he "crashes"?
Answers:
When I say that I "crashed", it means that I had a hypoglycemic episode. My sugar dropped quickly and without warning. It doesn't happen often...at least not to me. For the most part, I maintain good control. I have mild insulin reactions maybe once every couple of weeks. I can count on one hand the number of times I've crashed (3 times)...and all led to ER visits because I was unconscious.
