Question: Dry Skin question please please help.?

So I have been using a prescribed acne treatment for my face. I only use it on my chin cause occasionally I get a couple there. Anywho, my skin has dried out there and on my cheeks (odd cause I do not use it on my cheeks) Anyways I know it is expected to get dry skin, but it's been a week and a half and no better. I use Mary Kay Velocity Moisturizer, but it still is dry WHY and what can I do?

I also use an acne treatment, and it tends to dry out my skin, if i use it too much :/ I find that cetaphil facewash which you can buy in Lloyds pharmacy really helps, because it is for dry and sensitive skin. Also you can buy face masks for dry skin, try the ones for lush, they leave your skin feeling really soft and help the dry skin a lot :)
