What am i likely to be prescribed for mild acne by my GP?!

Question:

What am i likely to be prescribed for mild acne by my GP?

I am 21 and my skin is worse now than when i was a teenager! It doesn't matter how much water i drink, how many pieces of fruit and veg i eat, what face wash i use...it never gets better.... Its starting to scar now, and it really gets me down, so am considering asking GP about it. I have been on the pill before which did make my skin better- but made just about every other area of my life a complete nightmare so i will not be doing that again! What else is the GP likely to suggest?

Thanks for that Michael C... maybe while i'm there i can pick one up for you to try and cover up the c*ck protruding from your forehead.

Answers:

Oxytetracycline tablets can help, but you may need to take them for some time.
