Question: UK - when does the hay fever season start?
My daughter suffered very badly from hay fever last year but it took a while for us to realise it wasn't just a persistent cold. The doctor advised us last year to start antihistamine tablets and eye drops a couple of weeks before hay fever season begins in the spring but I am not quite sure when that is. She had the spring and autumn hay fever last year with just a couple of weeks respite in the middle.

My daughter has early season hayfever. You can almost time it to the first two days in May. The good news is it started when she was four - she looked like she had been hit in the face - she's now 13, and the symptoms are much milder.
I always start her tablets the last week in April.
