I'm 19 years old. This is the second day of having the stomach flu. I've been nibbling on saltine crackers and bread. I've been sipping on flat 7Up and water. I've gradually been introducing myself back to solid foods. I tried eating Ramon noodles for lunch and a slice of pizza for dinner. I become so nauseated that I can't keep my food down. I've been losing a lot of weight. What should I do?

2nd day of gastroenteritis, not flu, flu is in the lungs/respiratory, Most gastro enteritis is caused by staph bacteria. How much wt have you lost in 2 days? Are you diabetic? undiagnosed? Any diarrhea, weakness, fainting, anemia? Are you pale? Tired?

Vomiting, actual, not nausea? Are you sleeping? Usually, for diarrhea, recommended the BRATT diet, Bananas, rice, apples (sauce) tea and toast, no dairy. Eat jello, (not red) flat 7Up is ok, as is cola drinks, ginger tea or ginger candy...plain noodles, no pizza, tomato sauce/spices not good at this time. If you are losing wt, you need to see doc asap. If you are vomiting, should hold any foods/liquids for atleast 30", then try only a teaspoon every 10", gradually increase. No water. Try Gatorade, Pedilyte, etc.
