I had acne very bad on my face, here is a few tips I used. Wash with a good quality soap (I like French milled) twice a day. Avoid deodorant soaps, moisturizing soaps, glycerin soaps or any soap that leaves a 'film' on your skin. Keep your hair and your bedding, especially your pillow, clean. Limit the use of hair products, remember, anything you put on your hair ends up on your pillow and thus on your face.Try a clay type mask, Queen Helene is the one I like and it's cheap and available nationally, use it once or twice a week.Try to not touch your face, your hands have lots of bacteria on them and never pick your acne because it will give you scars. You need to keep that area clean. Tough to reach, though. A scrub brush with good reach or wash towel may help. Vitamin A can improve skin appearance.

If you are scarring and really concerned about it or if their is concern about infection, then consult your dermatologist. They can give you options besides laser treatment.
