Breathing gets worse indoors?!

Question: Breathing gets worse indoors?
Background: I have mild asthma, and am allergic to dust, all grasses and maples, ragweed, and mold. I have noticed that although I have many more outdoor than indoor allergens, it always gets harder for me to breathe when I am inside. In the summer this isn't a problem, as I'm outside almost 24 7 but in the winter, when I'm trapped indoors, it sucks. Could my trouble be due to the dust or mold allergy?

Answers:

I'd be willing to bet its mold. Mold can grow in old sorts of places inside houses, and is usually a worse problem in the winter when it's wetter.

Sometimes bad breathing from mold can get better by just taking an albuterol inhaler, which you probably already have if you have diagnosed asthma.

You should get your duct work cleaned out, I had some mold in mine from an old leak . I also got some of those indoor air purifiers and have really noticed a difference. (I am also allergic to mold and dust.)
