could it be strep again?!

on tuesday i woke up with a horrible sore throat. i had all sorts of weird aches and pains, which i remember having when i got strep 5 years ago. the back of my throat is very red, but there arent a bunch of white spots like i had before, theres only one. my nose is congested, and its impossible to blow out, when i do that loud disgusting snorting thing and spit it out, the mucus is really bloody. i kinda dont think its strep, i was soooo miserable when i had it before.. my throat is still itchy and red but it seems to be getting better and i dont have any odd muscle aches anymore, but the one white spot and bloody mucus kinda worry me... should i get it checked out? the last time i went to my doctor a couple years ago i was really sick, had bloody mucus, felt like total crap, the back of my throat was swollen and purple, he treated me like an idiot and said nothing was wrong with me, so i dont wanna go back unless i absolutely have to...
