It sounds like an infection if pus came out. Did you shave in that area and possibly get a small nick that you paid no attention to, allowing an infection to develop through the opening in the skin? Another condition where there would be white matter like pus would be a sebaceous cyst, which could sometimes grow smaller and then reappear. A cyst is harmless but annoying and it doesn't look nice if that area is exposed. An infection is more serious because it could spread if untreated. You can try sitting in hot water, to soak it. If there are bumps that are red and painful and possibly feel hot, then you should have the doctor look at it before the infection spreads, If it's just a bump that comes and goes, then you would again need a dermatologist's opinion as to whether it can or should be removed. If it's a cyst, I would want to know whether it's likely to get bigger. It's a minor surgery to have it removed, and if that seems necessary, then you should remove it when it is still small. Removing a cyst involves removing the sac that holds the sebum, because if you do not surgically remove it, the cyst will come back (the sac will fill up again). Do not squeeze or handle it because you don't want it to get infected if it's just a cyst that is not infected. You will recognize infection by what I mentioned--red, painful, and with a feeling of heat.
Cysts often appear in areas of the body where there is hair and also where it might be moist, like if you perspire and the skin is not open to the air to evaporate. That would include the groin area, at the very top of your inner thigh. If it is near or on the outer labia, it would not be unusual for a cyst to form there, and that is something you can ask your gynecologist about. They may say just leave it alone.

You really should go to a doctor is you can, but it sounds like it could be a boil or a hair bump.
