Side-effects of a fever?!

Question: Side-effects of a fever?
I know boiling forehead is one. what else? oh, and by not using a thermometer (not that I will use one though).
when I don't feel good, this would be a way to know if I'm okay or if this is infectious. or I could use it in life in general. thanks!

I find that normally with a low grade fever, you will feel cold no matter how much you try to bundle up(I think it's called chills but I'm not sure) you can also feel clammy, and your body will ache all over. whenever I get a fever, my skin also feels slightly more sensitive to touch kind of like when you have a sunburn.

All this is caused by your body fighting an infection, not from the infection itself though. A fever is just one of the immune systems tools to kill bacteria. In fact, as long as it isn't too high (below a hundred) it probably would be best to ride it out instead of taking medicine to bring it down. If you don't have any other symptoms, (other than maybe a tummy ache or stuffy nose) then it most likely will not be anything serious and will be gone in the next few days.

Past experience.

well you will be dehydrated and uncofferatable either hot or cold also you will have a headache.. one way to look if its an infection is difference in skin or eyes there are first symptoms also chest pain or blackouts arnt a good sighn!!!!! lastly to look for an infection is to see(i know this is gross~!) what color your mucus is... if its yellow i belive youre fine but if its brown or reddish i think that points to infectios deise or infections in gennneral but yu are being quite vage about the type of infection! so its kida hard to give you the heads up
