Gauges infected, help me?!

Question: Gauges infected, help me?
I am currently at a 2g and my left ear is perfectly fine but my right ear is seriously swollen, pussy, and bleeding. I went from a 6g to a 2g, which I know it's bad to skip sizes but when I was a 16g I skipped to a 10g and it was fine. I've taken my infected gauge out, cleaned it with salt water and put back in the 6g. (before I knew the dangers of it I cleaned it with peroxide, so think I screwed it up more). Is there anything else I should do?

Answers:

no do not clean it with peroxide. i have 1.5 inch plugs soak your earlobe in warm salt water and dont lay down on that side. you can also wash it with some fragrance free anti bacterial soap when your in the shower. get some aquaphor and put a little bit on it when its started to heal. next time you stretch your ears dont jump sizes your gunna cause scar tissue build up and your ear is gunna look all weird later on. also next time rub some frangrance free lotion on your lobes and lube up your tapers they will slide right in. also dont ever stretch them unless they are completely healed.

ive had plugs for 5 years. im at an inch and a half

Take it out take a warm shower rub it a little than clean it with peroxide and keep the plug out over night, after cleaning it put neosporin on it to heal it up a little it should be fine in a few days but make sure to atleast downsize one size.

I had the same problem, you did the right thing. just give it time to heal, keep it clean and try not to lie on that side.

had 0 guages

If it is as bad as it sound with swelling redness and pus I would definitely go to the doctor. You may need an oral antibiotic like Keflex.
