Abdominal Pain, would CT scan and Ultrasound definitely rule out kidney infectio!

Question: Abdominal Pain, would CT scan and Ultrasound definitely rule out kidney infection?
Im 15 and i've been having pain in my abdomen where I assume my kidneys are.I had an ultrasound and CT scan on my abdomen, and the ultrasound found nothing wrong, and after the CT scan the doctor said I was just majorly constipated, but the pain is still here after about 2 weeks. Am I just being a hypochondriac and worrying too much or could something else be wrong?

Answers:

Neither of those would detect an infection. Have you corrected the constipation issue. The constipation is a part of a larger scheme, nothing to worry about, but just correcting it, might still leave you with problems, as your seeing. So learn about the gut, foods that benefit it, foods that destroy it, chances are what was constipating you fits in the second category. I'm sure they ran blood, results ? Just keep a journal, of your symptoms and diet and background info about each day in general, include sleep and activity. It's often helpful in helping narrow down the possibilities, a pattern might reveal itself, and at the very least,it's more accurate then just using our memory. The better the details, the easier it is to diagnose.
