How can I keep my blood sugar down for about 1.5 hours?!
Question: How can I keep my blood sugar down for about 1.5 hours?
Answers:
Try not to stress. Stress will raise your blood sugar.
Of course, don't eat anything.
Drink some water.
There isn't anything more that you can do.
Did you forget your meter also? I was diagnosed when I was 11 in 1976 and we didn't have the pens or meters. Do you have Novolog or humalog, I hate the new Humalog Kwik Pen because it doesn't click. Your meter and your pen are your life so you have to find a way to remember them and you should never be more then an hour away from your meter. The answer to your question is what the other guy said, there is really nothing you can do. It doesn't sound like you are taking the appropriate steps in handling your diabetes or you just have a cold. e-mail me at michaelforbes45@hotmail.com and tell me how many times a day you test, how many meters you have and how old you are and what your last A1C was and I can help. Vinegar has been found to help halt the sudden rise or spike in blood sugar that occurs after eating a meal. 2 tablespoons of vinegar can lower your blood sugar. Elevations of blood sugar after a meal can cause havoc in both types of diabetes. This is only a temporary fix. Make sure to check your blood sugar and take your meds as prescribed by your doctor.
Check with your doctor on any medical advice given.
