How do you get rid of an allergic reaction?!

Question: How do you get rid of an allergic reaction?
I don't know what i'm allergic to yet.
But what remedies are good, to help get rid of it?
I have blocked up nose, and watery/itchy eyes.

Answers:

I would suggest trying an over the counter antihistamine. Claritin (generic name loratadine) is a common one that people use, but Zyrtec (ceterizine) covers for many more types of allergies (inside allergies such as dust mites, cats, etc. as well as outside such as tree and plant pollens). I would try one of those first and give it a good week to see if you get any improvement. If no improvement, then I would try the other (or another type such as Alavert). You may want to combine it with a decongestant for the first few days (like Sudafed) to help reduce the swelling and dry up the mucus. Taking a good multivitamin that has a good B complex (B6, B12, etc) can also help your body deal cope with allergies and reduce swelling associated with the reactions.

If you continue to have symptoms even with those medications, then I would see either your primary care provider or an allergy specialist to try a prescription medication such as Allegra (fexofenadine) and discuss getting allergy testing to narrow down what you are allergic to. The best way to reduce allergies is to avoid them, which is hard to do if you are not sure what you are allergic to.

Dealing with allergies for my whole life and suggestions from my allergist (have seen one since I was a small child and again as an adult).

Antihistamines are what you take to reverse an allergic reaction, something like Piriton.

You need to use some good homeopathic medicines for your allergic problem.
Tuberculinum 200 (One dose weekly)

Take only one dose and then inform me
