Low cab no sugar diet makes me feel exhausted?!

Question: Low cab no sugar diet makes me feel exhausted?
What do I do if I eat sugar I feel normal again but Im a diabetic? I just want to feel nonlethargic again

Answers:

How long have you been on a low-carbohydrate diet? It's normal to feel lethargic and even sick when you first start this diet, but the effects are usually temporary. It's sometimes known as the "Atkins flu." I felt terribly ill at the beginning and could barely get out of bed, but by the second week I had just as much energy as before, and by the third week I was even more energetic because I'd gotten my body off the highs and lows caused by carbohydrates.

Also, because you're diabetic, you may be experiencing what I did - rapidly dropping blood sugar. Your body has acclimated to higher levels, so lower blood sugar can make you feel hypoglycemic, even when you're not. I was in the 300+ range before my diagnosis; being in the 150s made me feel like I was dying.

The more carbohydrates you eat, especially sugar, the longer it will take to get over the hump. And for anyone who thinks this process is dangerous, it's absolutely not. I have been on a low-carbohydrate diet for almost three years and I am perfectly healthy and in control of my blood sugar. The weakness should fade, but you have to give it time. In the meantime, when you feel tired, just eat. Don't binge on sugar or other carbohydrates, though. Eat a low-carbohydrate snack. That will raise your blood sugar enough to make you feel better, but not enough to harm you.

Eat whole grains like semi-cooked corn on a cob, and semi-cooked old fashioned quaker oats.

Sugar isn't the only source of carbs, and it's the worst one.
