Do i have dandruff because of dry scalp, or too much oil.?!

Question: Do i have dandruff because of dry scalp, or too much oil.?
I read an article saying when your hair is too oily you can develope a fungus called malassezia. But i also heard that dandruff is because of dry scalp. I blow dry my hair about once every 2 weeks, and about once everyweek i straighten it. I wash my hair every 3-5 days, but my hair typically gets oily the 3rd day. I kinda sweat alot.
So, do i have dandruff because of dry scalp, or malassezia?

Answers:

You have dandruff because of oil. You should wash your hair every other day, or at least on the third day, since that's when it gets oily. Blow drying isn't damaging it since you do it rarely.

Their are many shampoo products out there that are capable of taking care of dandruff. But do they really work? Dandruff, is also known as a dry scalp. Just like you were to scratch your dry arms, legs, etc. You scratch our head/scalp. This causes dandruff, or dry skin/flakes from scratching to sit upon hair or scalp. Oily hair or scalp can not cause dandruff, although if you find oil irritating or itchy, it can, because when you scratch your scalp just like your legs etc. The dry skin will come off. Dandruff is just a fancy term for it. Consult your doctor for shampoos that can help or anything else like hair products. I hope this helped!:D

You have dandruff because of dry scalp and your hair care is just right. Use shampoo for NORMAL hair it will keep it less oily. Scalp itching can be caused by hair care products like hair spay. Change shampoos and hair care products every so often and keep your scalp moisturized,
