I sit in my chair most of the day, am I at risk of blood clots and other things?!

Question: I sit in my chair most of the day, am I at risk of blood clots and other things?
I'm a 17 year old guy and I do online schooling so I pretty much just sit in my chair most of the day and play video games when I'm not doing school work. Is this putting me at risk for ****? I'm not fat or anything, I'm actually under weight

Answers:

I'm a skinny b*tch & I smoked weed & LAY down all day when I'm not at school. If I'm doing good you probably are too. Cuz I'm also just eating all the time from the munchies. But see when I smoke I cough a lot, so that works out my core...

Hypodynamia (sitting in a chair most of the day) puts you at risk of metabolic syndrome X. it can cause atherosclerosis (which is one of the causes for blood clots(thrombosis)), essential hypertensia( and other cardiovascular diseases), type II diabetes etc. So at least go running the mornings.

yeah. new studies say if you sit down most of the day, you increase risk of heart attack due to the more energy required it takes for blood to flow to the lower half of your body. i suggest exercising and standing any chance you get to prevent risk of heart attack
