I have been getting bad spots, that's what i thought it was anyway. I've been getting them for two years on and off. I quit smokeing and ate helthier to try and get rid of them but it didn't make any diffrence.

I went to the doctors because it was getting me down a'lot. He told me that it was acney. I was quit suprised because i thought that people get acney all over their face and mases of it.

If you have bad spot's then you might need to go to the doctors because, acne is actuly an infection in the skin so and you need antibiotics to get rid of it.

Aparently 1 in 3 adults suffer with it. I had spot as a teenager but not as bad as this.

I use to use tooth paste on my spot's when i was a teenager and that worked for me

It sounds you have Rosacea. Your cheeks will get very red. You may blush easily. You may have what looks like acne but it's really Rosacea. Doctors don't know what causes it. I have it. I'm an adult. It's easily treated but you need to go to the doctor.

Anything which comes on suddenly should be referred to a doctor.

From sweet sixteen to fabulous forty, acne or blemish is one very frequent problem faced by people of both the sex. A normal, growing blemish-free skin from impurities is desired by everyone. It enhances the personality of an individual and makes him/her feel more confident and presentable. When we notice red boils or break-outs on our face or any other part of our skin we immediately react by squeezing them or breaking them. This leads to either expansion or patches or marks and sometimes causes infection too. Otherwise we tend to consult the dermatologist or use chemical rich creams which frequently pose unwanted effects.

Vitamins A & B are very important for the health of your skin. Vitamin A deficiency can cause acne or blemish etc. Vitamin A will strengthen your skin. Vitamin B is great for acne. The only Vitamin that has an anti-inflammatory effect is Vitamin C. It will help with healing and protect your immune system. A study conducted at Duke University provides evidence that Zinc is an important antioxidant supporting healthy skin. Among the findings: Zinc protects against UV radiation, enhances wound healing, contribute to immune and neuropsychiatric functions, and decrease the relative risk of cancer and cardiovascular disease. So, in addition to the antioxidant benefits Zinc offers to our skin, zinc is also important for the proper functioning of the immune system.
