Question: How do I stop vomiting whenever a wet cough occurs?

I'm 13 and have been sick for the past week with the flu. A lot of phlegm comes out when I cough, and most of the time it induces vomiting because its so severe. I've tried pressing a pillow to my stomach, aromatherapy, and honey lemon tea but they aren't very effective. How can I stop this? Should I go see a doctor?
