Allergy question please help =o?!

Question: Allergy question please help =o?
I'm allergic to blue cheese and normally get hives if I eat it. It doesn't occur instantly, but usually within a matter of a few hours to overnight. My dad and stepmom fixed steak, and did blue cheese on theirs, which transferred a few pieces of melted cheese onto my steak.
I haven't tried to eat it for a few years, so I'm wondering if I've outgrown it. I really don't feel like getting hives lol :/

So should I not eat the steak?

Answers:

Many cheeses contain histamine. This chemical is something that can mimic an allergic reaction. Fermented foods can sometimes contain histamine, and if you are sensitive to this it might be that you get allergic symptoms. So, the allergic reaction that you get does not come from an allergy directly, but by an overdose of histamine. Blue cheese is something that can be especially rich in histamines and, can be especially difficult if you are susceptible to this condition.

Just remove the portions that have the blue cheese on it, and you will be fine, or you can go without meat for one day and it won't hurt you, a matter of fact sometimes going without meat for a day is good for the digestion.

You can out-grow your allergies. My daughter used to be allergic to several things as a child, now, as an adult, she only has the seasonal allergy problem (rag weed, etc). So you may have outgrown the problem.

Just cut off the portion of steak that got the blue cheese on it.
P.S. If your allergic to blue cheese then your probably allergic to penicillin too.

I am also allergic.
