pulling stools from her back end?!

Question: Pulling stools from her back end?
My friend and i where talking over a drink and i don't no how we got on to the conversation but she said she only has bowl movement about once a week sometimes longer and she has to pull them out sometimes as she is on the pan for so long trying to pass. I asked her did she try lactose she says it seems to have no effect. I did tell her to go see her GP and we googled it but couldn't get any decent information. can you help as to what might be the cause of this? Thanks

also she said when she pulls them out there is blood but she doesn't just bleed ..its only when she has to pull them out.

Answers:

use a stool softener such as senna
increase Fibre in diet
drink more water
and seek medical advice
some people suffer from a lazy bowel which can be treated with drugs or manual evacuation from time to time, she may have a bowel infection or evan bowel obstruction, the list is endless. Please seek advice from a gp as pulling the stools out can be very dangerous, it can cause bleeding/ tearing/ infection etc etc.

im a nurse

I do the exact same thing. I only go about 4 or 5 times a month and when I do go it seems to take forever. So, I just, 'pull' it as you say. There's blood in everyone's poop, even yours so that's nothing to be concerned about if that's why you asked.

She needs to change her diet. Forget KFC and Maccas. High fibre food and cereals are required plus a laxitive to begin with the get it all moving.

Omnomnom, bloody stools.

YUMMY.

I LOVE TO EAT DA POO POO

a cure ...............one ripe fresh mango every night

The best initial advice she should get is to increase her fiber intake (whole grain cereals/breads, fruit, vegetables) and increase her fluid intake.

The only person who can diagnose exactly why this is happening to her is a qualified doctor.

Red blood streaked on the outside of a stool is most likely due to tiny tears in the anus caused from hard, large stools. This is in and of itself not a problem. Though it can be painful.

If the stool is completely red with blood, that's a problem.

Regardless of what people may think, blood in the stool is never normal and should always be checked out.

OK...I have to ask...how do you "pull them out"? Like, do they come out as logs or does the poo get all squishy? How do you get two fingers in there and get enough room to grip the poos? I'm not trying to be an *** if this is serious, but this concept is fascinating to me.

Anyway, she should definitely see a doctor as soon as possible. This sounds like a dangerous situation.

Also, she probably needs some fiber supplements or Metamucil.

The chick who only poops about four or five times a month may want to seek medical assistance too. I'm not a doctor but most people poop everyday, so go see what's up with your butt.
