will this irritate my skin if I'm allergic to sulfur?!

Question: Will this irritate my skin if I'm allergic to sulfur?
I have moderate acne and I use Neutrogena Oil-Free acne wash every morning and night. I've been using it for about a month now. Its supposed to sooth redness but lately I noticed that it sometimes seems to make my skin fell extremely dry, more than other cleansers, and parts of my face get a little red. Today I looked at the ingredients and it says it has Sodium Benzotriazoyl Butyphenol Sulfonate in it.
I was just wondering if that is what could be causing my skin to dry out more than usual and become red.

More likely it is the active ingredient, salicylic acid. It is an exfoliating agent, but also the same thing as in wart remover. It can be quite iritating.
