Well, considering that you're not a doctor and you have no experience in knowing whether or not it's something serious, I'd say--go to the doctor. This isn't a matter based upon what ifs, if you really wanted to know, you'd just get it checked out. It won't do you any harm if you just go, anyway.

If that's not in your best interest (I don't see how it couldn't be) you can always look up symptoms like this online: webmd.com, is very good with trying to narrow down something like this. Until then, you won't know for sure. So, get checked out. :)

You should personally see a doctor. It could be a lipoma most probably (thats a localized swelling of fat tissue) and could be confirmed by FNAC. But its recommended that you should consult a doctor in person.
