Question: Is this pubic lice? Please HELP!?
Basically I had head lice and ever since then my vagina has been itching a lot! I am a young teenage girl and a VIRGIN .... I am assuming that it's pubic lice (however many medical students have said that they are completely different parasites) so basically I was wondering would shaving it all off help? Is it for sure pubic lice? And, most importantly, how in the world should I tell my mom? We don't have a great relationship and unfortanutly I most likely gave it to my sister as well :( PLEASE HELP!!

head lice and body lice are totally different parasites, this is true. also, crabs (pubic lice) are bigger and i've heard you can actually see them in your pubic hair. shaving will NOT rid you of infestation if you do have crabs. look for bugs and eggs on your pubic hair. if you see them, you need to buy the shampoo and comb treatment and treat all your sheets, etc, anything made of fabric that you come into contact with. just like with head lice.
