Question: Is this caused by fluconazole?
I began fluconazole about a week ago. I am on 200mg/day. On day 2 after a dose I experienced irregular heartbeat that lasted about 2 minutes. Since then I have been severely fatigued, nauseated and have lost a good bit of my appetite. I am also having several migraines a week.
Could this be caused by the fluconazole, and should I keep taking it?
I have 3 weeks left. I am not sure that I can just stop it.

All of your symptoms are documented side effects of fluconazole. The irregular heartbeat may not be caused by fluconzole, but the information that comes with the prescription says to seek immediate medical attention if irregular heartbeats occur. Immediate attention isn't necessary if the heart beat problem has disappeared, but it would be a good idea to stop the medication until you have talked to your doc about this. Call your doc and let him/her know what you are experiencing. Ask the office to call you back for advice.
